Background
My cataracts became bad in 2008, and I began to have trouble doing some of my favorite activities. Dr. Goldstein talked to me about Crystalens surgery for my cataracts, and I really wanted to get rid of my glasses, so I went for it!
The Procedure.
My vision was good from day one after surgery, and the intermediate and reading just keep getting better.
Results.
My vision is amazing, and I have nearly complete freedom from glasses. I just bought a pair of fancy sunglasses, right off the rack...no prescription!

Background
I wanted a surgery that would have the best chance to get me out of my glasses completely. I had early cataracts, but they really weren't a problem. Dr. Goldstein told me about ReLEx surgery, which is lens replacement surgery,, just like cataract surgery. We decided on Crystalens implants to give me the full range of vision.
The Procedure.
I had both eyes done the same day, and could immediately see Dr. G as soon as surgery was over.
Results.
I am completetly free of glasses and contact lenses for ALL activities. The only downside is that I can't hide the wrinkles behind frames!

In December of 2010, I decided to have Dr. G do my cataract surgery, and elected to have him implant the Crystalens in my eyes.Results.

Dr. Goldstein had performed my LASIK years ago, but my vision went downhill when cataracts developed.

Immediately after surgery, my distance vision was great.Surgery was quick, easy and painless! Dr. G made me feel very comfortable and at ease the whole time.
Results.
I was very surprised by how much color and detail I had been missing due to the cataracts!! I really don't need glasses at all anymore.

Background
I always wore glasses on my face or in my hair. I thought that the best that could be done was to 'hold the line' after cataract surgery.
The Procedure
After a discussion of the options I decided on what I call 'bifocal crystalens implant'. Immediately after surgery, my distance vision was great.
Results.
It took about 6 to 8 months to regain normal reading vision. In my work as an attorney, I find that I don't need glasses for ANY of my activities except very fine print, or in low light situations.

Background
My cataracts were causing so much glare, that I could no longer drive at night. To top it off, I had an extreme degree of nearsightedness (couldn’t see past the tip of my nose!), and astigmatism. I was referred to Dr. Goldstein by another eye doctor, because he had the most experience with crystalens implants.
The Procedure
I had my surgery 2 weeks apart,. The next day I could see across the room without glasses! For me, this was enough of an improvement and I didn’t even care if I needed readers. I needed additional laser surgery, the, over the next few months the reading vision began to improve, too.
Results.
I am completely 'glasses free'!!

My distance vision is close to 20/20 in both eyes, and I am completely happy with my vision. I am completely 'glasses free'!!

My distance vision is close to 20/20 in both eyes, and I am completely happy with my vision. I can see the computer perfectly, and all of my co-workers are jealous because they are constantly looking around for their reading glasses, while I don’t need them anymore!!

Refractive Lens Exchange was performed on both eyes, 2 weeks between surgeries in 2007
