The Procedure
Dr. Goldstein talked me through every single step. There was no pain, I did not feel anything. I sat up...and cried, because I could not believe that I could already read a poster on the wall
Results
I have 20/15 vision in both eyes. It was the best thing that I have ever had done! I can see everything perfectly...I have gone snorkeling, and gone to the beach, and been on a motorcycle, and I don't have the burden of contact glasses or glasses.

I was too nearsighted for LASIK surgery, and became unable to wear contact lenses. I had to have Implantable Contact Lens surgery instead.
The Procedure
I had ICL on both eyes. It didn't hurt at all, and I was able to see really well right away!

I went from legally blind, to better than 20/20 in both eyes!
Preoperative prescription was about -13 in each eye. Patients with this prescription cannot see past the tip of their nose without glasses..

Results
Recently, I went to my cabin. It was a beautiful day, so I went down by the water. I could see every detail. The flies were buzzing around, and the fish were going for them, so I went and got my fishing rod and flies. I began casting, and realized that I could see the hackles on the flies that I was casting. I used to have trouble doing this even with my glasses on. Now I have another reason to look forward to my next fishing trip!!

I am a very active person, and I especially wanted to be able to hunt without glasses. I was less concerned with the need for reading glasses.
The Procedure
I decided to have both eyes completely corrected for distance, because I wanted the best distance vision without glasses. I wasn’t worried about wearing readers after.
Results
I was in the woods hunting the weekend after surgery! It was amazing! My vision was very clear. The best part was that I didn’t have to worry about seeing my target….and my previous problems with glasses fogging up was gone!!

I work as an ophthalmic technician, so I am involved in the care of LASIK patients every day. Dr. Goldstein performed my surgery in December of 1997. I couldn’t see past the tip of my nose without my glasses or contact lenses. I had to feel my way back to shore if I was in the lake, because I couldn’t see which direction was out of the water!!
