The office of Dr. William Goldstein is proud of its staff, and the friendly, personal care that they provide to every patient. The Laser Eye Care Center is located in Shelby Township, Michigan and features an in-office laser eye care facility. Glaucoma, Diabetic Eye Disease, and secondary cataracts can be treated on site. Dr. Andrea Braden, OD
Dr. Braden joined Dr. Goldstein's practice in July 2015. She graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2009 after completing internships at Washington University, St. Louis University and TLC Laser Centers. Dr. Braden was also awarded recognition from her University for her work in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy. She has a great passion for eye care and is dedicated to providing the best care she believes patients expect and deserve.
Since joining the practice, she and her husband have welcomed two little boys to their family. They enjoy spending time together as a family, especially any outdoor activities.
Mary Jo Viviano COA, OCS, Office Administrator
Mary Jo started her career in Ophthalmology as a transcriptionist. She has been with Dr. Goldstein since 2006. Mary Jo enjoys the fast paced environment of the office, and the chance to interact personally with the patients. Every day is different to her and there are many challenging aspects to her job. She truly enjoys the doctors and staff she works with on a daily basis. When she's not in the office, Mary Jo enjoys traveling, reading and playing with her dogs.
Suzanne Dicicco, Medical Receptionist
Suzanne worked at Holy Cross Hospital for 12 years and loved the medical field. A position opened up at an Ophthalmology office where a friend of hers worked. Suzanne thought that would be something new and interesting, and it really was! She's been in the eye care field for 28 years. Suzanne has been with Dr. Goldstein since 2015. She loves the interaction with her coworkers and all of the patients. Outside of the office she enjoys reading, traveling, walking and theater.
Stirling Schluessler, Medical Receptionist
Stirling always knew she wanted to work in the medical field and she thought Ophthalmology would be the most interesting. Stirling has worked with Dr. Goldstein since 2016 and she loves it! She enjoys working in a friendly environment with lots of kind and caring people. Her hobbies include softball, traveling, and shopping!
Jackie Elliot, Ophthalmic Technician
Jackie got into Ophthalmology because she wanted a change after working in family practice and pediatric offices. She started looking around and found a job posted for the Dr. Goldstein and thought it would be fun to learn all about the eyes and she was right! She has now been with Dr. Goldstein since 2012, starting as a Medical Receptionist, and advancing to working directly with patients as an Ophthalmic Tech. Jackie enjoys working with the wonderful staff and all of the great patients each day. Outside of the office Jackie enjoys reading, cooking, camping, knitting, baseball, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.
Shelley Laporte OSC, Ophthalmic Technician
Shelley has always been fascinated with the medical field, but has found that eye care is the most fascinating area! She has been working with Dr. Goldstein since 2012. Shelley truly loves her job. What she likes most about her day is that it's filled with hard working doctors that treat each patients as if they are family. She enjoys the fast pace and the opportunity for constant learning and growth. Outside of work Shelley enjoys biking, boating, going to the theater and she loves baking. Her goal is to be a certified COA soon!
Autumn Keary, Ophthalmic Technician
A friend of Autumn's family was an office manager in the first medical eye doctor's office she worked for. She has been working with Dr. Goldstein since early 2018. When Autumn's in the office she enjoys the friendly doctors, the staff, and being able to help patients. Outside of work Autumn enjoys walking and traveling.
Heather Ludvigson, Optician
Heather got into the Ophthalmology field through Optometry. She became an optician 20 years ago and has been working closely with optometrists as well as ophthalmologists since then. Heather has been with Dr. Goldstein for since 2014, and does a great job running the Optical Department. While she's in the office, she enjoys helping the patients pick out the perfect eye wear. She loves to hear the positive feedback about the doctors and other staff from the patients. Outside of work Heather enjoys bike riding with her son, yoga, and getting together with friends and family.
Doreen Orlando, Medical Biller
After completing her Medical Billing and Coding course, Doreen accepted a position with her first Ophthalmology office. She enjoyed learning about eye care and decided to continue in this specialty field. Doreen was pleased at the opportunity to join Dr. Goldstein in August of 2015. When she's in the office she enjoys working with patients, helping them to understand the very complicated area of billing and insurance. Being a busy office, the days go by fast and every day brings something new. Outside of the office Doreen enjoys spending time with her kids, working around the house, gardening, relaxing, and reading.
