Beer is bad, Caffeine is good! Dry eye in Michigan By William Goldstein on May 04, 2012

Interesting news for dry eye in Michigan, you may be able to help or hinder your dry eye symptoms!

Recent studies in the journal 'Ophthalmology" show that use of caffeine may increase tear production for dry eye sufferers. Consumption of alcohol on the other hand, decreases tear production and causes an increase in symptoms. This part of the study comes as no surprise....alcohol is a diuretic, causing the body to increase its offloading of water! So do your eyes some good, visit Starbucks more often!
