LASIK surgeons in Detroit have long thought that LASIK in Detroit for patients with thin corneas was unsafe. This is likely a myth! During a presentation at ASCRS meeting in Chicago, a well-known LASIK surgeon presented data that indicates that thin-cornea LASIK may actually be as safe as that in patients with normal thickness.
