Cataract surgery in Michigan, new technology available By William Goldstein on July 12, 2012

Cataract surgery in Michigan and ReLEx surgery in Michigan gained accuracy due to new technology that became available at Truvista surgery center. Dr. William Goldstein became one of the first surgeons to use this ORA technology to improve the vision outcomes for his cataract patients.

The new technique allows for 'real time' measurements to make sure that patients are less dependent on glasses after surgery. The ORA technology can check lens implant power in the operating room during surgery to increase accuracy. Only a few surgery centers in Michigan currently use this instrument in their operating rooms.
