IOLs Restore Vision Clouded by Cataracts

A cataract is a cloudiness in the natural lens of the eye. During cataract surgery, the natural lens of the eye, along with the cloudiness caused by the cataract, is removed. A membrane is left behind to act as a pouch or pocket for artificial lens implants or IOLs. Each lens implant is carefully selected by Dr. William Goldstein in an effort to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses. To maximize the patient’s freedom from glasses, Dr. Goldstein prefers to use the advanced technology lens implants to provide full focus. All implants have advantages and disadvantages, and a careful discussion of each patient’s needs is essential in choosing the correct implant. Dr. Goldstein is known for his personal one-on-one care, and his careful evaluation of the details needed to help patients figure out which implant is best…for them!

Advanced Technology Lens Implants

Advanced technology lens implants are a family of lens implants that are designed to help patients reduce or eliminate their need for glasses after ReLEx surgery or cataract surgery.
